Physiotherapy involves interaction between the therapist, patients\/clients, other healthcare professionals, families, caregivers, and communities in a process where movement execution potential is examined, and goals defined using the Physiotherapist’s unique knowledge and skills. These aim to identify and maximize quality of life and movement, encompassing key points such as promotion, prevention, treatment\/intervention, and rehabilitation, for which the relationship between the physical, psychological, emotional and well-being condition is crucial.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In this way, the IPI\u2019s main function will be to improve people’s quality of life, as well as the competitiveness of companies that offer products and services aimed at citizens\/patients. On the other hand, it will aim to study the behavior of the human body and its relationship with the products, environment and services that people use, as well as improve people’s quality of life, allowing them to work more efficiently and with the least possible absenteeism. It also aims to improve the competitiveness of companies, providing them with technology or even designing together unique equipment on the market.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Thus, it will combine knowledge from Physiotherapy, biomechanics, physiology, ergonomics, and engineering (including emotional engineering) and apply it in very different areas with the aim of improving the competitiveness of the business fabric through the well-being of people.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The promotion and practice of scientific research, technological development, technical advice, and training in biomechanics will be working objectives. In this way, its mission will be to develop scientific and technological activities in biomechanics and related areas of knowledge for their social and economic use.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
